There are dinners, and then there are experiences. On the 29th of September, the very essence of Tuscany - its vineyards, its traditions, its stories - was brought to a single London dining room. Suddenly guests were no longer in Charlotte Street but in the rolling hills of Montipulciano.
At TLA, in partnership with italian PR firm Area 39, we had the pleasure of curating an extraordinary evening with our client Avignonesi, Tuscany’s iconic biodynamic winery. For one night only, the historic Le Capezzine estate came alive in London at Carousel, where an intimate guest list of sommeliers, collectors and wine peers gathered to experience a rare wine tasting alongside a bespoke three-course menu.
The evening began with a reception of Avignonesi wines and canapés, before guests moved into a dining room styled to evoke Montepulciano itself - white tablecloths, floral touches and an atmosphere so carefully curated that even the air seemed to carry the warmth of Tuscany.
Executive Chef Leonardo Spaccavento guided the menu, pairing Tuscan flavours with decades of Avignonesi’s winemaking: Il Marzocco 1989 and 2024, Poggetto di Sopra 2016-2021, Desiderio 2001-2021 and the iconic Vin Santo 2011. Each pour told its own story - a bridge between past and present, land and tradition.
The atmosphere was electric yet elegant with conversations flowing as freely as the wine. Guests were reminded that these bottles are not just drinks, but living expressions of culture and stewardship. And as carriages arrived at the close of the night, each guest departed with a piece of Tuscany in hand: a personally engraved bottle of Poggetto di Sopra 2021 and a gift bag capturing the essence of the estate - with an invitation to one day visit Montepulciano itself.
